January 20, 2025 โ As the second semester of the academic year begins, the ISU-R Library welcomed students with a heartwarming program titled "Eat, Sip, Read." This initiative, led by the Campus Librarian, Ms. Ivy Camille Gan, aimed to create a positive and engaging atmosphere for students by offering free hot coffee and freshly baked pandesal on their first day back to campus.
The event transformed the library into a vibrant space where students could relax, connect, and recharge amidst the excitement and challenges of the new semester. Organized by the dedicated library staff, "Eat, Sip, Read" sought to foster a sense of belonging and make the library more than just a place for academic pursuits but also a hub for community and well-being.
Students from various departments enjoyed the opportunity to explore the library's vast resources while indulging in a warm cup of coffee and delicious bread. The gesture was met with appreciation, as many expressed gratitude for the thoughtful welcome.
Aligned with the United Nationsโ Sustainable Development Goal, Zero Hunger, the program not only enhanced the student experience but also emphasized the importance of starting the day with a nourishing meal. "Eat, Sip, Read" reflects the library's commitment to transforming its space into an inclusive and comforting environment where learning, connection, and relaxation go hand in hand.
